I don't care whether or not Taiwan and Canada have established a diplomatic relationship. It was the Taiwanese president that the Canadian representative was conversing with. And I certainly don't care whether or not the Canadian representative felt at ease or comfortable......hence, the leg up high. The body language definitely spoke another. It's a matter of respect both as a representative of a country and as an individual. One needs to remember, one's personal conducts speak about you and who you are, especially when one is representing a country. That's just not acceptable. It's disrespectful and an insult to another.....not only for the Taiwanese people.....it's the same for the Canadians. An apology is certainly warranted. ... |
